SUMMER READING PROGRAM “Unearth A Story”
The Ainsworth Public Library will run their Summer Reading Program during the whole month of June. The theme for this summer’s program will be “Unearth A Story” and will feature dinosaurs. You may register for this fun program now through May 16th by filling out the online form found at the library’s website: libraries.ne.gov/ainsworth; on the Ainsworth Library Facebook page, or in person at the library.
The Library will have four different age groups for the children to join. Toddler Time will run on Tuesdays in June from 4:30-5 p.m. This will be for the small children aged two & three. Toddler Time will be limited to 10 participants and we do ask that an adult stays with the child. The Preschool Group will also meet on Tuesdays but from 1-2 p.m. This is for children aged four and five (that have not started Kindergarten yet). For the grade school aged children, we will go by the grade they are currently in. Kindergarten and first grade students will come on Thursdays in June from 1-2 p.m. The 2nd-3rd-4th grade students will come from 3-4 p.m. on Thursdays. The grade school students will keep track of time read from June 1 to June 30th. Reading activities will be logged via Reader Zone. Reader Zone is an online app that will let you see your children’s progress in real time. This means no more paper reading calendars to keep track of. Prizes will be awarded in July for top readers in each division.
We can’t wait to see your child at the Library this summer. Get your child signed up so they don’t miss out on all the great dinosaur fun planned for June!
