Summer Reading Program starts on June 1st.
"Unearth A Story" Summer Reading Program will start on this coming Monday. All grade school students that entered this program will need to sign into the Reader Zone app. We will use this app to keep tract of the time that students spent reading from June 1 to June 30th. All reading time must be recorded in Reading Zone by July 2nd in order to qualify for prizes. If you have question on Reader Zone, please contact the library.

Toby KID Bring Mesozoic Adventures Program to the Library
The Ainsworth Public Library is thrilled to announce the premiere of the highly anticipated new show, A Mesozoic Adventure. This live one-man show is a fun and educational experience for kids of all ages. The show will be debuting at the Ainsworth Library on June 26, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. This program is being sponsored by the Ainsworth Library Foundation with funds from the Mrs. Nellie Johnson Memorial. The program is free and open to all ages.
A Mesozoic Adventure follows an epic journey through Earth’s timeline, exploring the age of dinosaurs, the reign of the mighty Megalodon, and the myths surrounding the giant-winged Quetzalcoatlus Combining magic, archeology, and plenty of laughs, the show brings history to life in an entertaining and educational way, while also promoting a love for reading through engaging storytelling and interactive elements.
Written and produced by performer Toby KID, a world-renowned performer for children and families. “We are beyond excited to share this program with our young readers,” said Gail Irwin, Library Director of the Ainsworth Library. “This show is an exceptionally crafted blend of magic, drama, and comedy, all presented by an extraordinary performer. It is an electrifying live experience that brings prehistory to life like never before!”
Toby KID will excite anyone who loves to laugh, read, or learn about dinosaurs. You never know, you may be the archaeologist that finds the real fossil!
Summer Reading Program Fun-Hours Begin this week!
Attention to all children that signed up for the Summer Reading Program "Unearth a Story". The first week of Fun-Hours will be on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
Toddler Time will be from 4:30-5 p.m. on June 2nd. Remember that an adult must stay with the child.!
Preschool time will be on June 2nd from 1-2 p.m.
K-1st Grade will come from 1-2 p.m. on June 4th.
2nd-3rd-4th Grade will come from 3-4 p.m. on June 4th.
Reminder: Grade school students will start to keep tract of time read starting today (June 1st). Please use Reader Zone to record your reading time. Contact the library if you have any question.
